Honor their fears. Identify someone on the school team they are most connected to. Have the two of them talk before the next remote session. Listen to understand where they are coming from.
My team has suggested having one session a week that parents can schedule to join a check-in with the teacher or advisory lead, and having posted rules and norms that everyone can see to help establish expectations for all parties. A lot of parents have questions and are struggling to support kids at home, and sometimes it's presenting in unexpected ways.
